Welcome to the Waverley Borough Council Consultation Portal. This portal will give you the opportunity to get involved in various areas of Council work including the preparation of the Local Development Framework (LDF) and the Sustainable Community Strategy. These are both important areas of work which will help shape the future of Waverley.

The opportunities to get involved are separated into various topics. Please either select the appropriate consultation from the list at the bottom of this page, or else follow the appropriate link below to be taken to the relevant topic area:

Register

It is possible that to take part in some of the opportunities to get involved, you will need to register online as a user of this portal. This is particularly common for Local Development Framework consultations, as it is often a requirement of planning law that we need to know who is making comments. It is also possible that your name, possibly the town where you live or work, and your comments will be available for the public to view. Don't worry though, as information on what details will be made available to the public will be displayed alongside any opportunity to get involved, ensuring that you are informed from the start.

Description:
This is a consultation on the above document which forms part of the Town and Country Topic Paper. The settlement hierarchy will provide a framework which will feed into the Core Strategy DPD for the broad distribution of new housing and other forms of development towards those settlements that have a good range of services and employment opportunities, and restricting it in those that do not.
