Local Development Framework Core Strategy: Preferred Options and Draft Policies
The event is not currently available for consultation.
Consultation
Waverley Borough Council has been working on a plan for the future of the Borough through a series of documents which will comprise the Local Development Framework (LDF) and which will, over time, replace the Waverley Borough Local Plan. The most important document to be produced will be the Core Strategy. It will be the central document setting out the overall planning strategy for Waverley up to 2027.
The Core Strategy Preferred Options and Draft Policies document deals with issues that will shape Waverley in the coming years and for future generations. The Plan sets out the Council’s preferred approach and proposed policies for dealing with matters including where and how many homes should be built, ways in which businesses in our towns and villages can be supported and enhancing recreational facilities, as well as many other significant topics for our local communities.
The consultation ran from Monday 24th January to Monday 7th March 2011 and is now closed
The following documents were available as part of the consultation, and can still be viewed on this portal, or within the LDF pages of Waverley's website:
- The LDF Core Strategy Preferred Options and Draft Policies
- A Sustainability Appraisal report (attached as a supporting document within this consultation)
In addition, there are a number of supporting evidence documents available to view and download, including the updated Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) 2010, the Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA), a Settlement Hierarchy and the Employment land Review (ELR). The full set of supporting evidence documents is available to view and download from the website here.
We also have a series of the summaries of comments received on previous consultations, which can be found here.
We are now reviewing all the comments that have been received and will be reporting them to Members. Please see the Council's LDF web pages for further information in due course.
