The Living and Working Topic Paper sets out the issues relating to housing, jobs, shopping and leisure. It then sets out the options for the Core Strategy to deal with the issues.
The issues and options are about making sure that the Core Strategy:
- Provides more affordable housing in the towns, villages and the rural areas and delivers the right type of homes and enough accommodation to meet everyone's housing need and demand.
- maintains the local economy by making sure that there is enough suitable land for jobs in places where they can be easily accessed.
- protects and improves the attractiveness of our town and village centres through the provision of shops and other impoprtant services.
- continues to provide leisure and recreation facilities for local residents and to make sure that Waverley remains an attractive place for people to visit.
